Troubleshooting Satellite - SkyStar
I cannot access the internet
Please refer to our Generel Settings section here.
If the General Settings are fine, please reboot the Gilat Modem by completing the following:
- Turn off using the switch situated at the back
- Leave the Gilat Modem off for at least 15 minutes
- Turn on using switch situated at the back. Please note that the booting process can take up to 10 minutes. In normal operation all lights except TX should be on. TX might be flashing indicating traffic being generated.
I cannot access secure sites or site using non-standard ports
Check that the proxy settings using our guide. The only reserved port on the Gilat Modem is 9877 as it is used for the proxy configuration.
If unsuccessful please reboot the Gilat Modem:
- Turn off using the switch situated at the back
- Leave the Gilat Modem off for at least 15 minutes
- Turn on using switch situated at the back. Please note that the booting process can take up to 10 minutes. In normal operation all lights except TX should be on. TX might be flashing.
I cannot send emails since I have changed to Digiweb Broadband.
You may still be using your previous providers Outgoing Mail Server to send mail. Please follow our Email configuration guides here.
I cannot send emails since I have changed to Digiweb Broadband and I have changed the Outgoing Mail Server
Please ensure your firewall or Anti-Virus client is not blocking our Outgoing Mail Server.
