Password protect a folder
Login to your Hsphere Control Panel.Click on FTP Manager from the main page of the control panel.
Launch the File Manager from the first line.
To protect a folder choose 'Protect' fromthe menu at the bottom consisting of your Quota, Protect, Wget, FTP and A-Counter.
Drill down to the folder you wish to protect in the Protect Wizard by clicking on the folder names.
Once you've found the folder you wish to protect, click on the folder image beside the folder name.
Click 'edit' beside the box with the following content '/.htmaster/.uk_user, if the file doesn't exist create it.
Enter the username you wish to use for the passworded folder and then choose a password (and confirm it). Click save.
Once you've finished that you should see the users in the password file listed.
Click the floppy drive icon on the left hand menu. For those who don't remember it's a black square with a white top!
